Due to our long standing Principal stepping aside to focus on their role within the Pennine Alliance Learning Trust, we are looking for a Principal who will lead us into the future with vision and care.

Midday Supervisor
Start Date: As soon as possible
Permanent – 6.25 hours/week, term time only
£12.85 per hour
Wainstalls School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and talented individual to join our friendly and dynamic team. The successful candidate will be required to supervise pupils during lunchtime, working within our school’s positive behaviour management policy.
The successful candidate will be able to:
- work as part of a team as well as using your own initiative
- to deal with situations regarding behaviour and first aid in a calm, effective and timely manner
- be a positive role model for our pupils
The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. Applicants to posts that are exempted from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.

Support Assistant

Scale 2 – £13.05 per hour
We are is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and talented Support Assistant to join our friendly and dynamic team on a temporary basis. Part of Pennine Alliance Learning Trust, Wainstalls School provides a wonderful opportunity for career development and is at the cutting edge of the School led system.
We are looking for a Support Assistant who will:
- Work 1-1 with children with ASD and/or Special Educational Needs
- Work with the SENDCo and Class Teacher to address the needs of children who need help to overcome barriers to reach their potential
- Carry out the professional duties that support the Class Teacher and SENDCo
- Accept reasonable additional responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Leadership Team
- Take part in school events and extra-curricular activities
- Maintain and contribute to the ethos of the school
